A Screenwriter’s Perspective

Inspiration, Motivation & The Movies: Enlightenment Through Pop Culture

This site is dedicated to those who love the craft of screenwriting and appreciate a medium to interact with other like-minded individuals therein.

The Number 1 thing I love is my family. The Number 2.0 thing that I love is learning, growing and embracing the lessons that are all around us—always. For the sake of full disclosure, I am openly on a journey of mindfulness and am conscience of clues about life that “happen” from moment-to-moment. I love gleaning purpose and meaning from all sources and especially enjoy de-constructing a story to extract “the point”. My teenage son (WARNING: I will be referring,  from time-to-time, to the wit and wisdom of members of this charming group of people with whom I share DNA) differs in my world-view and insists that movies/music/art-in-general need not have “a point”. What say you?

This site is further dedicated to exploring how and why movies, television and other aspects of pop-culture resonate so deeply within us.

I’m excited to be on this journey and look forward to where it may lead. I know that I’m not the only one who enjoys the moving pictures and the craft behind storytelling. Who hasn’t seen a television show or gone to the movies and was dying to process it with friends!? I hope that this site becomes a forum for discussion and a source of enjoyment, sharing, learning and inspiration among friends.

As John Bender in The Breakfast Club so delicately phrased it, “Moe-Lay really pumps my nads”. I understand that kind of excitement, and hope this site stimulates like-wise enthusiasm.

Peace,

Dori
